dc.description.abstract | The article contains reflections on not an easy task that parents and teachers face, that is eco‑ nomic education of children. Parents play a leading and responsible role in financial education of their children. The family is the first and basic environment in which the child gains experiences connected with understanding the value of money. The child’s personal experiences play a very im‑ portant role in the development of operational reasoning in terms of understanding the value of money, and what follows, in success in solving mathematical tasks based on money calculations. Moreover, they contribute to increasing the child’s resourcefulness and self ‑reliance in managing their own money. | pl_PL |
