Komunikacyjne aspekty partycypacji społecznej

Abstract

The participatory concept of local government implemented in Poland requires efficient communication between the authorities and citizens, without which it is impossible to involve residents in the affairs of their immediate surroundings. Many forms of this participation have also a communicative character. The article presents premises, methods and social reception of communication policies of local governments and some consequences of these activities for social participation in local governments. The text is a forerunner of a broader study prepared on the basis of a survey conducted in 2016 in the Silesian Voivodeship on a representative sample of 500 respondents, which concerned communication aspects of the subjectivity of local communities.
