Postawy studentów pełnosprawnych wobec studentów z niepełnosprawnością w percepcji studentów z niepełnosprawnością

Abstract

Acquiring higher education by a disabled person increases his or her chances on the labour market, which makes it possible to improve his or her social and living conditions. Studies are also an opportunity for personal development, becoming independent, building self‐ esteem and acquiring friends. In my opinion, the group in which university operates is extremely important. The atmosphere of kindness and mutual help can make studying more enjoyable and easier. People with disabilities, however, may be exposed to social exclusion in the student environment, which is why in my BA thesis I focused on the attitudes of non‐ disabled students towards those with disabilities. This article is a part of research on the work entitled Attitudes of able‐ bodied students towards students with disabilities and opinions of students with disabilities on this subject written under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Zenon Gajdzica. In order to obtain more reliable results, I tested both non‐ disabled students and students with disabilities. In this article, I focus on the part of the research in which disabled students were the respondents.
