Abstrakt: The article analyzes the etymology, word formation and the meaning of 12 words that have been incorrectly interpreted or considered as „unclear“: 1.1. засемềвам се „to bе losing consciousness“ is from the Turk. seme „stupid, dull“; 1.2. изтръвѕвам is from the verb изтървàвам „lose; miss“, on the stem of рівам „short“; 1.3. нашѝндя „punch“ is from шѝнда „small beech board“; 2.1. duramagilik is from the Turk. Doğramacılık „carpentry“; 2.2. hökium is from the Turk. hüküm „power“; 2.3. iktissaite is from the Turk. yıkmak „destroy, break down“; 2.4. öfketo is from the Turk. öfke „rage, anger“; 2.5. kiimetlia is from the Turk. kıymetli „dear“; 3.1. А»ана»wс (instead of *А»анатwс) is from the Gr. ἀθάνατος „immortal“; 3.2. кадилница (in: Златна Кадилнице) is derived from the Bulg. verb кадѕ „smoke“; 3.3. „слеки и спраувлиаш“ means „you make the backs to bе straight“; 3.4.Ýрwце is from the Croat. uzročе, vocative from uzrok „cause“.
