Przykłady dobrej praktyki zastosowania platformy kształcenia na odległość WEiNoE UŚ w nauczaniu i uczeniu się

Abstract

The idea to incorporate e-learning in the University curricula is considered as one of the prime directions in development strategies of the university in 2012—2020. The document “University of Silesia in Katowice — Development Strategy 2010—2020,” highlights the following: “Development of IT infrastructure for Distance Learning System,” “Supporting information technology-aided education/teaching/learning (e.g. distance learning, new lecturing technologies, e-text-books, University of Silesia Internet TV, blogs written by scholars/scientists/academics, educational films published on YouTube Edu and other educational Internet portals,” “Increase in the number of e-learning courses, and greater activity in distance learning.” In 2005 CKO (Distance Learning Centre) was established to support university faculties’ e-learning platforms, and online learning. One of the fastest growing platforms is that of the Faculty of Ethnology and Educational Science (http:// el2.us.edu.pl/weinoe) which is administered by the article’s author. The paper presents experience and observations of forms and ways of effective use of the platform, which may be of interest to tutors, administrators, lecturers, students and others who might be interested in implementing distance learning, or wish to learn about the experience of others.
