Abstract

In the era of digitalization and progressing visualization, media are undergoing intense metamorphosis in response to the needs of the ever‑shifting market. Focused on graphical communication, media evolved different forms of graphic journalism. One of the more intriguing and expansive journalism forms is comics journalism. Comic reportage has been expanding since the 1990s and opens the newspaper market to other comic forms, such as the interview, feature article and information. Dedicated Internet platforms have emerged to support comics journalism, some located solely in the mobile devices market. This paper strives to present the history and development of the genre, as well as its digital aspect.
