| Abstrakt: | In the article there were presented the demographic changes regarding Bytom and its two quarters – Knajfeld and Stary Rozbark. They are characterized by a significant decrease in the inhabitants’ population caused mainly by natural and migratory loss, an ageing society and growth in one- or two person-households and partnerships of a non-family type. Those changes are similar to the trends typical of the second demographic transition observed in Western countries since the 60ies of the 20th century. |
