Abstract

The archive of catholic weekly „Sunday Guest” („Gość Niedzielny”) was established in the year 1985 and is a typical example of editorial archive. The archive materials of the magazine were collected since the creation of the paper in 1923 but officially they weren’t catalogued. The collection raised through years, results useful mostly to the „Sunday Guest” workers in their everyday job, as well as to investigators working on the source documents. The resource of the „Sunday Guest” archive is formed by materials collected in the basic sections: documents from the editorial office, press archive, reference collection, photo archive and special collection. Each year the archive collection increases with the new documents, which are carefully catalogued and stored to serve to the next generations of editors and investigators.
