The aim of the study was to determine the level and type of microbial contamination in two archive rooms of the Municipal Social Assistance Center in Katowice, located at Morcinka and Orkana Streets. The conducted research has shown that the concentration of fungal aerosol in the ambient air in both examined archives did not exceed the requirements of PN-89 /Z-04111/03. The species of Alternaria alternata, Scopulariopsis brevicaulis, Acremonium charticola, Aspergillus fl avus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus versicolor, Penicillium funiculosum, Paecilomyces variotii and Trichothecium roseum, which produce cellulolytic enzymes, may be dangerous for paper.pl_PL
