Ślady użytkowania książek w księgozbiorze Ludwika Brożka

Abstract

Ludwik Brożek (1907-1976) was a Silesian librarian and bibliophile. He gathered a book collection of approximately 30 thousand volumes. After his death a part of the collection was purchased by the University of Silesia in Katowice, currently it belongs to the Faculty of Philology Library. In Brożek’s private collection there can be found numerous traces that show how the books were used by their owner, testifying the leisure and professional goals. All these evidences provide an insight into the life and work of the collection owner.
