Abstract

“Mał y Gość Niedzielny” is the longest publishing periodic for children in Upper Silesia with coverage countrywide. Before the Second World War it was published as the supplement to “Gość Niedzielny” and it was the most important magazine for children in Diocese of Katowice. The primary purpose of it was to promote religious, moral, literary and patriotic education. The popularization of the model of a man who always follows the Christian ethic rules is also present in the modern version of “Mały Gość Niedzielny”.
