Cechy estetyczne i kulturowe księgozbioru Marii Kownackiej w Izbie Pamięci autorki w Warszawie

Abstract

The article discusses the private library of one of the most widely read authors of books for the youngest readers Maria Kownacka which is stored in her Memorial Chamber. The analysis of the editorial composition library allowed to stress not only the esthetic qualities of the books, but also the cultural ones. Personal notes and comments of Kownacka collected in the Memorial Chamber of the author, as well as trinkets and personal items are the way of understanding the views of the author about books and her criteria for evaluation of aesthetic publication for children. It is also a valuable resource enableing to get to know the author’s social circle, ties linking it with the literary, lots of books and sometimes opinions.
