dc.description.abstract | The article focuses mainly on the issue of an existential boredom in the period of the
Romanticism. In the first part of the article a short history of the concept of boredom
and the special status of boredom in the period of the Romanticism is presented. In
the second part, the two characters created by Juliusz Słowacki are presented – Fantazy
and Idalia. They struggle with existential emptiness. The article proves that the
experience of the existential boredom helps the literary characters to get to know
themselves, the other and the world. | pl_PL |
