Międzywydziałowy Zespół Folkowy „FolkUŚ”

Abstract

The text concerns the activity of the university folk group “FolkUŚ”. The group comprises members from various university departments. It operates under the auspices of Silesian University and its Department in Cieszyn. The text was edited on the basis of the interviews with former and current group members, reports from the students’ scientific societies on their achievements, and information referring to the group on the Internet websites. The article so far is the only record concerning the activity of “FokUŚ” group. The aim which inspired its creation was to make readers sensitive to the need of distributing information on the regional culture and make this information always accurate and up-to-date.
