Udostępnianie zbiorów w Czytelni Ogólnej i Matematycznej Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Śląskiego : spostrzeżenia dotyczące współczesnej obsługi czytelniczej

Abstract

The article presents two reading rooms: Main and Mathematical functioning as a part of Circulation and Information Science Department at the University of Silesia Library. There were described several historical facts, type and subject matters of collected books. There were presented issues concerning reader service and circulation rules. There were pointed out some new possibilities that nowadays can be offered to the readers thanks to information technology and the Internet universality. On the basis of statistics ran in the reading rooms the readers visiting both reading rooms were described and there was conducted quantity analysis of available documents.
