Abstract

The article aims at reviewing selected aspects of information activity of the University of Silesia Library as the institution that supports research and academic development through provided information services. There are described types and subject matters of information inquiries. There were pointed out the most crucial conditions that have an influence on the quality of given information inter alia the workshop and used sources of information. The groups of scientific information users were described.
