Śmierć udomowiona : szkice o wyobraźni poetyckiej Ewy Lipskiej

Abstract

The author of the book writes about one of the most outstanding contemporary Polish poets. It does not have the qualities of a monograph, though (it seems to be too early as Lipska still takes an active part in literary life). It is careful and meticulous analysis of two crucial motifs - home and death. The author tries to show in what ways death is present in Lipska's "home” lyrics at the same time trying to reconstruct ways and techniques of "domesticating" death in her poetry. The main focus of the author is literature, but thanks to anthropological approach the book analyses the attitude of a contemporary man to death, which unfortunately is not just a literary form.
