Antynomia Grecji i Rzymu w wykładach lozańskich

Abstract

The authors of the article aimed to reconstruct the visions of Greek and Roman literatures which were contrasted by Mickiewicz in his Lausanne lectures. The authors focused their attention not only on following the typical differences in presenting of these literatures but also on finding in these literatures elements that must have been especially interesting for a Romantic poet because of their connections with his own literary experience. In this article the authors attempted to present some examples of issues that could have been important (demanding an interpretation) for both, a Classical philologist and a Romantic poet.
