Działalność kulturalno-oświatowa Górnoślązaków w świetle czasopisma „Głosy z nad Odry” 1918-1924

Abstract

The press played a very important social and national role in the beginning of resurgent Polish state in Upper Silesia region. One of the periodicals which enhanced national affiliation and fulfilled cultural-education expectations of Silesian society was „Głosy z nad Odry”. The periodical was published by St. Jack Society in Opole between 1918-1924. It was edited by Rev. Emil Szramek - a great patriot, social activist and patron of culture, involved in culture and scientific life development of Silesia.
