Działania profilaktyczne prowadzone przez Policję śląską w zakresie zapobiegania zachowaniom ryzykownym młodzieży szkolnej na przykładzie wybranych powiatów przygranicznych : studium porównawcze

Abstract

The police are an important link in the local system of crime prevention and public order violation. This work focuses particularly on its preventive activities on risky behaviors of school children in the Silesian Voivodship. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used: analysis of existing data (desk research), questionnaire, interview and statistical method. Triangulation made it possible to answer the question about the relationship between the location of the districts (border or inside Silesian Voivodeship) and the diversity of police activities in the scope of pre-emptive actions aimed at young people attending an educational institutions. The research involved officers responsible for cooperation with schools and other entities in the field of social prevention from the District Headquarters in Będzin, Cieszyn, Tarnowskie Góry and Wodzisław Śląski, as well as students from the local eighth grade of primary schools. Valuable help was also provided by officers of the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gliwice.
