| Abstract: | The aim of this short artide is to present the most known play written by Thornton Wilder, Our Town, from two perspectives: as a typical American town, whose inhabitants are dedicated to family, history, tradition, and for whom such values as freedom, equality, respect for other people, as well as democracy are important. The other perspective shows Our Town as a “everybody’s” town, set in a kind of universal time and space. |
