Abstract: | The power of words – research topics in persuasive communication: the case of media and judicial discourse. This paper attempts to present the discursive mechanisms of establishing a common horizon for interpretation in French media and judicial discourse. The analysis focuses on the use of connotative and emotional argumentation such as: metaphorization, identification relationship, deictics and modality. |
