Nieznane wczesne przekłady Tadeusza Różewicza

Abstract

The article has been written on the basis of a broad textual research, which allowed the author to pinpoint many inaccuracies in scholarly works on Różewicz. An especially valuable contribution to the research on the reception of the poet’s works has been made by the discovery of four translations of Różewicz’s poems from the Anxiety (Niepokój) volume into Czech done by Drahomir Šajtar and published between 1948 and 1949. Another significant fact which has emerged from the author’s research is that certain Czech writers came to Cracow and met their Polish counterparts in Kuźnica club.
