| Abstract: | Gas chromatography allows to identify and quantify natural organic compounds present in glues of antique library materials, as well as products of their alterations. Familiarity with this data allows to compile the data on the bases of the antique library material natural ageing process mechanism. Such data facilitates making decisions on the scope of maintenance and selection of natural materials and modern substitutes. |
