Abstract: The article’s objective is to trace the activity of the Baworowscy Library, basing on entries in a “Cash Journal”, in which the Library’s expenses were being noted. This manuscript, created mostly in the 20 th century, constitutes an interesting source of information about the Library’s functioning, since a number of expenses which shed a new light on the Library’s work have been included there. Moreover, the analysis and juxtaposition of certain data brings information about the cooperation between the Library and its closest surrounding. Data from the manuscript described allows us to outline a network of trade links between the Baworovianum and booksellers and antiquaries from Poland and Western Europe. The text also describes other companies (e.g. binderies) and institutions (e.g. learned societies), as well as people, who throughout the years have appeared on the Journal’s pages as Library’s cooperators. Information included in this document are a trigger to the history of book culture in 19 th and 20 th century Lviv.
