| Abstrakt: | The article presents the main issues of feminist translations in Canada and the USA. Feminist translation was initiated in Quebec and proliferated in the USA and United Kingdom. Feminist translators openly admit they ideological commitment and deep intervention in the original text in paratexts (translators’ forewords, afterwords and critical essays). The text analyses interventionist strategies on the basis of the works of Barbara Godard, Louise von Flotow, Susanne Lotbiniere-Harwood and Jill Levine. |
