Abstract

The author synthetically brings a historical background of the formation of a teacher’s seminar where the academic and didactic activity was initiated by the Branch of the University of Silesia in 1971 closer. She shows changes in thinking about teaching, and, against this background, educating teacher’s and, then, academic staff the moment the Faculty of the University of Silesia was erected. The complexity of the historical situation in this area substantially influence a specific path a Polish teacher in Cieszyn Silesia follows.
