Analiza węgierskiej sytuacji politycznej po 2018 roku w kontekście dominacji partii Fides

Abstract

The article analyzes the political situation in Hungary after 2014, considering the parliamentary elections in 2018 and their outcome. The last elections to the National Assembly were won by Fidesz, for whom it was the third success in a row. The other parties are not able to take equal rivalry with the ruling party, which is affected by the fragmentation of the left wing, small support for liberal groups, or reaching the maximum support of the electorate for the far‑right Jobbik. On the other hand, Fidesz was able to subordinate institutional and media sphere to such an extent that the possibilities of contesting the existing Fidesz order by the opposition are very limited.
