| Abstract: | The study outlines the genesis, main assumptions and the status of implementation of the Polish Nuclear Power Programme, with regard to the reasons for delays and the lack of the official decision to build the first Polish nuclear power plant. The study points out the trends in worldwide nuclear power, including developments in particular countries and the directions of development and technical modernisation of nuclear reactors. Moreover, the study presents general requirements regarding nuclear safety. |
