Abstract: Undoubtedly, the Internet has become an indispensible element of daily life. E. Aboujaoude observes that to a greater or lesser extent, these days we are all addicted, if not in clinical terms, then in functional and practical ones. At the same time among the plethora of sources concerning addictions to the Internet, it is certainly worth paying attention to one other, relatively common and relevant phenomenon in virtual reality, namely the „social exhibitionism.” Aside from the proportions, characteristics, and conditions of the phenomenon that altogether can be referred to as purposeful self-creation, the article proceeds to illustrate possible dangers coming from thoughtless acts of publicizing countless amount of pictures (of children in particular), personal data, private information, etc. Moreover, such acts do not remain without influence to the broadly understood children’s and teenagers’ health and safety, but they can provoke educational as well as socio-pedagogical reflection.
