Transgresja w świadomości Zygmunta Krasińskiego

Abstract

The article focuses on the characteristic features of the category of transgression with reference to Zygmunt Krasiński’s worldview – one of the prominent representatives of Romanticism. The author provides interpretation of the aspects of transcending borders (found in correspondence) from the ideological, historical and economic perspectives. The examination of the human – nature relation is to illustrate that Romanticism was an epoch when individual fate was more a matter of conscious choice rather than accommodation to set patterns.
