Nierówności społeczne i jakość życia : naukowe rozumienie oraz relacje między terminami

Abstract

The main purpose of the article is to highlight connections between the problem of social inequalities and the problem of quality of life. The quality of life term is often used in everyday discourse – as a general understanding of well-being. The difficulty is to develop academic definition of this concept. To solve that problem some scientists postulate base on two types indicators of quality of life: subjective (self-declared happiness) and objective (access to socially significant goods and services). Because many socially significant goods are limited (e.g. wealth), people do not have equal access to them.
