Śmierć wywiadu? : gatunek w ponowoczesnej Polsce

Abstract

The question in the title is asked in the context of changes in an extra-linguistic situation of an interview and formal-semantic changes of texts having a genological etiquette of an interview it evoked. The author points to the changes in the sender-receiver relationship of this type of interaction and genre, as well as the formal research and the ones concerning the meaningful content of the interview texts. Considerations concentrate on the interview in the network society (a birth of a new form of journalism, the so-called civic journalism), an interview in the society of individuals (a valorization of idiolects, especially idiolects of famous people) and an interview in the society of media and theatre performance (tendencies to make a media message more attractive). The very observations lead to a conclusion that the genre which has been “living” for almost a century in naturally changing contexts as an interview cannot undergo changes in fluid times if it is to remain an living genre.
