The article is an attempt to present the manner in which selected authors of travel reportages
create themselves with their language, building the image of their sex. The basis for the language
analysis has been formed with two travel reportages by Wojciech Cejrowski and Beata Pawlikowska.
In the article, the reporters’ particular language manners have been presented and combined with
self-presentation strategies. The analysis of the texts enabled not only to point out the particular
language manners but also to reflect on the man’s and woman’s aims of their application.
