| Abstrakt: | The article proposes an interest in a positive example of contemporary promotion of the border area’s past on the example of the multicultural city of Chernivtsi (Czernowitz) in the former Austrian province of Bukovina, now in Ukraine. Unlike many other borderlands, Chernivtsi promotes what united instead of what divided the inhabitants. On the other hand, such activities are favored by ethnic conflicts in the past that were objectively smaller than in other borderlands |
