| Abstrakt: | The article is an attempt to present Ralph Linton’s scientific biography against the background of the processes that constituted the 20th-century American cultural anthropology. Linton’s archaeological and ethnological career is one of the variants of a model that is generally accepted and appreciated within these disciplines. Focusing on the biography of the culture researcher who was widely influential in the middle of the last century, the author tries to show both the unique character of his decisions and projects, as well as the general theoretical, institutional and methodological framework legitimizing his activity. |
