Wzrost mocarstwowej pozycji Niemiec w drugiej dekadzie XXI wieku

Abstract

One of the main tendencies of the evolving international system in post-Cold War Europe is a constantly growing role of Germany (West Germany) in the shaping of the European Union and the international system in Europe and worldwide, as well as increasing superpower aspirations of its leadership. This process was considerably strengthtened in the second decade of the 21st century, primarily in the aftermath of the crisis in the eurozone, conflict in Eastern Ukraine and the migrant and refugee crisis. Germany played the main role in overcoming these European crises. In Poland, and some other countries, diverse standpoints were adopted in the assessment of the growing international role of Germany. The growth of Germany’s international role was not an issue in itself. The problem however, was to what degree can German proposals be accepted regarding solutions to the crises occuring in EU and outside of EU? It seems that in any political constellation which can be formed in Europe in the near and more distant future Germans will have an opportunity to increase their superpower position and influence.
