| Abstrakt: | The article deals with the fate of Polish soldiers during World War II - with the creation of the Polish Army in the USSR, then with the participation of Polish soldiers in the Battle of Monte Cassino and Lenino. The author also tries to outline the post-war image of the soldiers of the Polish 1st Tadeusz Kościuszko Infantry Division in Warsaw (kościuszkowcy), the Polish army formed in the USSR under the command of General Władysław Anders (andersowcy), and the Polish army formed in the USSR under the command of General Zygmunt Berling (berlingowcy). |
