Austria - struktura naczelnych władz państwa oraz system władzy lokalnej

Abstract

This article discusses the functioning of the main state institutions: parliament, executive power, head of state, and judicial power in contemporary Austria on the basis of the assumptions of the constitution of that state. The analysis also covers the territorial and administrative division, which consists of countries, districts and communes, with particular emphasis on the specificity of communes as basic units of local self-government and the separation of the status of Vienna.
