Internet jako ważna przestrzeń komunikacji politycznej

Abstract

The article is an attempt to justify and document the thesis that the development of the Internet has changed the nature of the process of political communication in Poland. As a result of the increased activity of Polish Internet users in this field, citizens are becoming - apart from political actors and mass media - more and more important subjects of the communication. At the same time, new functional effects of the use of the Internet for political communication are emerging. The attractiveness and interactivity of the Internet dialogue forced Polish politicians to use communication platforms of the Internet. The importance of the Internet for political communication is also related to the fact that it is now an important source of information and opinion on politics in Poland, although the dominance of traditional media in this field has not been overcome.
