Zagraj to jeszcze raz, Homer : problemy intertekstualności w serialu "Simpsonowie"

Abstract

The author of the article attempts to characterise the intertextual strategies present in the series The Simpsons (1989–), basing her observations on the concept of Michail Jampolski. In the light of this theory, the poetics of hyperquote, employed by the creators of the cult series, oscillates between the model of free and devoid of deeper intentions referencing to other texts of culture and intertextualism based on isomorphism, with a particularly exposed motif of mise en abîme. The latter strategy is becoming a tool in The Simpsons for commenting not only on contemporary audiovisual culture, but also on changes within key categories for American identity, such as family.
