O etycznych dylematach przy stawianiu pierwszych kroków w pracy naukowej - magistranci wobec plagiatowania

Abstract

The article refers to the phenomenon of plagiary constituting an extremely ethically-naggingproblem appearing at all levels of the academic hierarchy, from students to professors, in the academiccircle. The authors are interested in plagiarizing in the course of writing an M.A. thesis.Basing on the paradigm of Ajzen’s theory of planned behaviour, they analyse the students’ beliefsthat are important from the point of view of forming the intention of plagiary. The very beliefsrefer to benefits and losses deriving from plagiary, as well as an individual preparation of an M.A.thesis, the attitude of the people in question to plagiary, and factors of an individual and situationalcharacter facilitating and hardening the very practice.
