The text is a collection of remarks and reflections that appeared in the course of writingRomantyzm, a grammar school course book from the series Przeszłość to dziś (Warszawa:Wydawnictwo Piotra Marciszuka Stentor, 2002–2012). The origins of the book written withDorota Siwicka, its structure, methodological and ideal assumptions, as well as book transformationsconnected with changes in the curriculum and market demands are reminded of(second and third edition). Also, relations with a teacher environment, the influence of thebusiness perspective of the enterprise, and, finally, authors’ own ambitions as well as sense ofa social mission are considered. In the end, a reflection on the actual image of Romanticismshaped by a “hot” political context is presented.
