dc.description.abstract | The examples analysed, derived from various sources: television programmes, press,
Janusz Palikot’s blog and other Internet sources, are typical of the way of creating a political
image of politicians today. Palikot creates his political image providing the viewers-voters
with information concerning three dimensions of his life: a domestic-family-professional
(a private image), a political (political image), and a media (media image). Self-presentation
strategies used by Palikot involve most often narration and direct accounts when creating
a private image, ideas and performing the role of an expert when creating a political image,
