Abstract

The author of the article Andersen at the theatre — how high school students read “The Snow Queen” presents a wide interpretative context accompanying reading fairy tales in high school. She refers to her experience connected with leading the school literary club, whose meetings became the motivation to read literary texts during lessons of Polish. Presented example of work with the high school students on the play inspired by The Snow Queen by J.C. Andersen assumes the proportions of a “method” of communing with a literary text, or rather texts that constitute for it a closer or further interpretative context.
