Abstract

The article aims to put emphasis on the role of vocal organs (and the voice itself) in communication, as well as to present prophylaxis of vocal disorders. The first part of the article takes up the subject of risk of vocal organs disorders among teachers engaged in education from elementary to higher levels. The authors present results from their own examinations, as well as those provided by other researchers. Each part of the paper deals with particular spheres of voice production, that is phonation, articulation, resonators, or breath. Also, each section ends with extensive “Good Advice” passage which itself is a companion of recommendations, clues, exercises that should be done so as to avoid voice production disorders.
