Abstract: | The aim of the article is a comparative analysis of the language to be found in selected coursebooks for teaching music to fourth-sixth primary school graders. Randomly-chosen and representative samples of the coursebook texts were thoroughly examined. It was among others the determinant of communicativeness (text legibility and comprehensibility) that were taken into account. The results constitute an important component of statistical studies on the language of coursebooks, and broaden the linguistic as well as pedagogical knowledge. |
