Wpływ transformacji na przemiany struktury społecznej w Polsce

Abstract

The article focuses on the impact of social structure transformation in Poland. In the first part, we have presented the most important theoretical aspects of our analysis, followed by a brief outline of the social structure at the end of the Polish People’s Republic. We have paid attention to several aspects: the size of social and professional category, the level of remuneration, professional prestige, and social inequalities. In the main part of the article, we have examined what changes in social structure have been initiated by the transformation.
