| Abstrakt: | The article is devoted to the image of the inhabitants of the African continent, as fixed in the Polish literature for children and young people. The flegship text here is the poem Bambo by Julian Tuwim, which has been reprinted for many years in the most popular Polish ABC-book by Marian Falski. Antagonisms and stereotypes (language, too), contained in the poem, are reproduced and maintained in the next texts addressed to the pupils of Polish schools. Meanwhile on the Polish book market appear publications whereby the Africa’s image is not only true, but also contemporary. |
