A patient who is entitled to the right and is its benefi ciary may authorize the doctor to provide information to family members and others in situations defi ned by law. indication of family members or other persons does not release a doctor from providing information to the patient, but exempts from the obligation to maintain secrecy. doctor’s violation of the right to information can form the basis for the sanctions to be applied by the Professional council or the court.
